On September 23, 2021, Governor Gavin Newsom signed Senate Bill No. 391 (“SB 391”) into law as urgency legislation. SB 391 adds Section 5450 to the Civil Code, which allows California common interest developments (“CIDs”) to conduct board and member meetings via teleconference if gathering in person is unsafe or impossible because the CID is in an area affected by a declared federal, state, or local emergency.   Read the entire article……………………………….
