For the first time ever, the S.C. Department of Consumer Affairs released a South Carolina Homeowner’s Association Report. The Department of Consumer Affairs released the report as a result of changes made to the state’s Homeowner Association’s law, which now requires that data from complaints involving HOAs be collected and reported to the governor, General Assembly and the public by Jan. 31 each year.
