Will a Condo Owner Be Liable for a Delinquent Neighbor Not Paying Property Taxes? (NY)

Q. I own a condo unit in Queens, New York, with more than 500 units. I noticed an increase in my quarterly tax bill, which had a note at the end that stated, “Please contact your managing agent so that the delinquent charges are paid to avoid the possibility of being included in the next tax lien sale.” Apparently, there is a unit owner in my building who did not pay their taxes, although I have been paying my taxes on time.
