The City Commission Tuesday voted unanimously to adopt an emergency ordinance temporarily halting building permits issued in New Smyrna Beach’s Venetian Bay neighborhood.  The recurrence of flooding incidents in the area has resulted not only in property damage concerns but also in public health and safety concerns for affected residents, who are calling for a resolution to problems identified in the area’s stormwater system.   Read the article…………………………….
