Since the first of the year, beavers have been causing problems at a lake in the Oak Hollow neighborhood in south Tyler.  “We know it’s going to undermine the shoreline, and they’re headed to the root system of the trees, and we certainly don’t want to lose the trees,” resident Gene Shull said.  Shull said the beavers are causing damage to the lake behind his house.  “We’re just really interested in protecting the lake and protecting our trees,” Shull said. “And we don’t want to be liable to misfortunes that we didn’t try and take care of.”  And they are taking care of the issue using a trapper hired by the property owner’s association through the property management company.   Read the article………………….
