Q:  I live in a gated community. We have guards on duty 24 hours a day. Presently some owners are trying to do away with the guards. I remember that years ago some residents tried to do the same thing and were not able to accomplish it. I do not recall the particular reason why they were rejected, but I think they were required to get 100 percent of the owners to approve of the removal of the guards.
